We've ramped up the recording a bit at the Jonin Dojo and we're doing some more demos for the new full length album. We've been tracking guitars the past few days and the raw sound is turning out great (props to Daylight Dies for letting us use their mics)! We're staring on vocals this week and with all the preproduction we've done so far hopefully we'll have some new demo material to share with you guys here soon. |
| You guys have really gone to bat for us on the Isound.com battle of the bands. We've gotten 2009 plays in the last 9 days! We truly appreciate the helps, keep up the killer work and get anyone you can to help us out. It literally only takes a second to queue up all three of our tracks to play but it helps us so much. The other bands have ramped up the competition as of late so we need your help now more than ever! Voting is set to end May 29th so only 19 more days!!! It only takes a few minutes a day and helps us out a lot. We truly appreciate the outpouring of help we've received so far. You guys rule, keep it up! |

GREETINGS!
First of all we want to thank you for being a Jonin fan/friend...we couldn't do this without you,and we love you.
There have been alot of things going on in the Jonin camp as of late, so we figured it was about time to give everyone the heads up on what's going on in the dojo now, and what to expect in the future..so here goes...
line up change
-For those of you who don't know Mike Hambright and Trey Willits have both gracefully bowed out of the fold, Mike to focus on his family, and his long time band Pivot (http://www.myspace.com/pivot - check them out!), and Trey to more time into his education and career....they will be missed and remain close friends of ours.....replacing them are Tim Worrell (of Raleigh thrash masters Blatant Disarray (http://www.myspace.com/blatantdisarray) on the drums, and long time friend/fan Ray King on bass....you'll be pleased to know that they are both doing a fantastic job thus far.
shows
-While we are currently tightening up the set and doing preproduction on a full length album due sometime within the year, we aren't doing alot of live shows, however we will begin booking some shows in late spring,so if you're interested in booking Jonin contact us now and we'll see what we can do int he future...if you're interested in seeing Jonin, please bear with us until we are ready to come out and do the damn thing right.
street team/fan club
-We are in the process of trying to put together a street team/fan club type thing (ninjas MUST have their clan.). The street teams job naturally will be to help us to promote in areas other than our homebase, and help push us twice as hard at home,if you are interested in helping us out, drop us a line here....being in the street team will automatically make you eliigible for stuff available to fan club members, merch deals, giveaways, and other offers available to members....so sign up NOW.
much love and respect. - Jonin

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Lincoln Theatre last night. We had a great time and would like to thank the killer bands we got to share the stage with; Strychnine Soul kicked the night off with some excellent riffage, Soulpreacher showed us why they are the kings of Doom and Daylight Dies owned (their new material rules, their forthcoming album "Dismantling Devotion" will be a must have). We're sorry for anyone who missed this show because it simply ruled! We'd also like to thank the Mike Guin for the show hookup and Eric Greene for making all the bands sound awesome. Till next time.
